REGULATORY AND LEGISLATIVE
SUPPORT
TRG Government Relations provides comprehensive legislative
and regulatory support for several trade associations. John
Cox heads up TRG Government Relations, working with Glenn Roberts
to represent client associations before the U.S. Congress, as
well as state and federal agencies.
Our successes include the formation and support of industry
committees that track legislative and regulatory developments.
We plan and host workshops and conferences that put our clients
in direct contact with the regulators. Confidential regulatory
compliance assistance is provided one-on-one to member companies,
and we confer with dozens of federal and state agencies. Our
issue portfolio includes food and cosmetic law, consumer protection,
alcoholic beverage law, intellectual property, import-export
regulations, antitrust, environmental compliance, occupational
safety & health and many other issue areas.
Federal regulatory policy is developed on several
levels:
- Legislators write the laws.
- Agencies interpret these statutes and publish regulations.
- Agency personnel conducting inspections decide how to enforce
these regulations.
On behalf of our clients, we participate in discussions with
federal officials at all of these levels. TRG clients benefit
from our global connections. We are part of an international
regulatory network that gives our clients access to important
developments in Europe, Asia, and other key markets around the
world.
FOOD

of all facilities that manufacture, process, pack or hold food
or drink for consumption in the U.S. TRG Food
Facility Registration will guide you through the registration

ASSISTANCE WITH FEDERAL
BIOTERRORISM LAWS
Following the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001, TRG’s
government relations focus shifted toward federal bioterrorism
activity. New laws, regulations and guidelines are at times
overwhelming to regulatory compliance professionals. We make
sure our clients know the whole story and we work with federal
agencies to make compliance with the new requirements easier.
