John Cox is Senior Advisor to The Roberts Group (TRG), focusing on the firm’s government relations programs.  Mr. Cox began supporting TRG clients in 2000.  In 2005, Mr. Cox established the Law Offices of John H. Cox, PLLC, with a practice focusing on food and drug law, intellectual property, import/export regulations, occupational safety & health, environmental compliance, and alcoholic beverage law.

Before joining The Roberts Group, Mr. Cox held key positions on Capitol Hill with the Speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives, Newt Gingrich (R-GA), and U.S. Senator Jeff Sessions (R-AL).  John also worked for the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, the Federal Trade Commission, and the Occupational Safety and Health Review Commission.

John has a B.A. in English from Spring Hill College and a J.D. from the University Of Alabama School Of Law.  Mr. Cox is admitted to practice law in the District of Columbia and Georgia.

John counsels companies in the food, drug, and cosmetic industries.  In addition, he serves as the general counsel to several trade associations.
